Was gonna try, but appernetly

Was gonna try, but appernetly the house isn't "actually" turned on for the new internet I was supposed to have so now i have to wait ANOTHER week before they can even get a tech to come look and try to fix the issue.  Sorry.

That's unfortunate Jan. I

That's unfortunate Jan. I take it you're one of many with no actual choice in ISP :(

Janyice's picture

No, we have plenty of choices

No, we have plenty of choices in Colorado.  Comcast, CenturyLink, AT&T, Verizon, and a plethora of LOS Providers.  We chose CenturyLink because of the price, and now I am starting to see why they are the "bargin basement" of ISP's...

CenturyLink is

CenturyLink is aaaawfuuuuuuuul. AT&T is the devil but I never have service interruptions :V

We couldn't beat the price,

We couldn't beat the price, so we decided on it... It's a shame really.  I was looking forward to another Garrosh kill.. but the lag from the other wifi is unplayable at around 4k... even for dpsing...

Four -seconds- of lag? That's

Four -seconds- of lag? That's unplayable for solo darn near. :(

Yup. This is the main reason

Yup. This is the main reason I haven't really been playing. All of the different Wifi connections I have had end up like this on my desktop.  To make matters worse, when I was able to play last weekend, it was on my laptop... may it Rest is Peace.  I turned it on last sunday to do some leveling on Elieen... and the hard drive seazed and failed.  Now I'm stuck on my desktop and while more powerful and better for gaming... has TERRIBLE lag on Wifi...

No way to connect the desktop

No way to connect the desktop directly to the router/modem at all?

The distance is close to

The distance is close to 250ft from the router.  The amount of cable would have to span the entire hosue plus dropped from the upstairs to the basement where we are.  Over all, It's not really feasable sadly.  I'm pretty much on Wifi until they can come out and retest and fix the line in the house to make it work.  Something the tech SHOULD have done when he came to turn on the service in the first place ><

Depending on how long it

Depending on how long it takes, you could invest in powerline ethernet. You can get devices that just go through the power lines, and they aren't TOO expensive... Though I've never really used one myself.
