Leaving Home For Home

Nirahsa's picture

Nirahsa looked around her workshop, it was still mostly bare from when her other side had taken over and made off with whatever had been useful. Since then Nira had started to replace what had been lost due to that incident, now she was stripping things again. She set her pack on a table as she packed various supplies. While Telredor Prime, Stitchy, and Jex watched her with curious gazes from their photoreceptors.

“Where will we be moving to Madam?” Stitchy intoned with a head tilt, straw hat shifting briefly as he observed.

Nirahsa bit her lower lip briefly, “All of you will, be staying here. I can only take the bare basics with me, and it just wouldn’t be safe for any of you.”

“TELREDOR PRIME WOULD PROTECT ALL WITH RIGHTEOUS FISTS OF FURY! NO HARM WILL COME TO THE ALLIANCE WHILE TELREDOR PRIME ACTS!” The purple robot boomed while pounding his fists together with a clang.

“Jex Bu-ld! Jex Help Bu-ld! Bu-ld!,” Came the fast slurred robotic speech of the red little Jex as he hopped up and down on the workbench.

The tinkerer gently rolled up several schematics tucking them away in her satchel before she finished packing the last of the tools she’d be needing along with basic supplies. She let out a sigh before taking a step over to where the trio of robots stood. Reaching a hand around Jex she hesitated for a moment.

“You’ll, be safer here…yes yes. I’m, sorry.” She blinked back a tear before she disconnected Jex’s power supply, the red little body going limp and clattering back on the table. Nira’s hand moved to Stitchy, the little bot continued to keep his head tilted.

“If, this is your wish Madam.”

Nira nodded, “No matter what anyone else said Stitchy, you’ve always done good,” With another flick of her wrist Stitchy’s yellow receptors went dark and the small bot flopped over, his stitching and straw cushioning the fall.

She then moved onto Telredor who seemed to eye her briefly, “TELREDOR PRIME MUST CONTINUE DEFENDING AGAINST THE RED HORDE MENACE!”

“I…know, Telredor, but you safeguarded something more important, you can have a break…yes yes.” She stated before deactivating Telredor the bot hunching forward but remaining standing as the power was cut.

Nirahsa picked up her bags and headed to the door, looking over her shoulder she gazed at the three little bots that had always been friends to her. Friends she now had to abandon because she couldn’t afford the luxury of taking them along. She drew in a breath before letting it back out as a sigh before she left, shutting and locking the door behind her. Hoping she would be back eventually to reactivate them….

On the workbench the three bots lay motionless, except for Jex. The bot suddenly twitched as yellow photoreceptors began to glow again and the small machine sat back up.

“Re-ou-te Po-er! Se-nd-ry So-r-ce, Help Bu-ld! Bu-ld!” The bot slowly stood gazing around at the dark empty workshop, gaze falling to the other still dormant machines.
