Feeling brave tonight?  How brave?

Brave enough to do battle with hideous monsters?  Hmm?

Brave enough to sneak around dank castles in the dark and be the next victim... of a Play by Post?

It's been brought to my attention that, due to the exceeding popularity mixed with the limited space of Drogar's Pathfinder Play by Post, a number of people were unable to give Pathfinder a try.

It's also been brought to my attention that Drogar doesn't get a chance to be a player in a Pathfinder campaign.  That's been brought to my attention many, many, times.  :)

As such, I present to you the opportunity to experience The Carrion Crown - a lovingly-crafted homage to gothic horror.  The land of Ustalav is gripped in a terror, and the only thing standing between evil and a terrible victory is you.  Do you have the wits, courage, and strength of steel or sorcery to match what lurks in the dark corners of Golarion?

This campaign will be for six players.  As per the nature of this Play by Post, I will be giving priority to people who did not get a spot in the original pathfinder play by post.  However, I encourage everyone who is interested in this Play By Post to indicate their interest here, regardless of the circumstances.  This information is very important for establishing standby lists and determining future requirements and policies in regards to Meddlers PbP games in the future.

Experience with the Pathfinder system or with table top RPGs is not necessary - we're always happy to teach people how to play.  Please keep in mind that play by posts can be a hefty time investment.

On a related note, I'll setup a FTP account and folder for you like I did for Drogar for the relevant character sheets, etc... and PM the info to you. Do you need instructions on connecting, etc...?

I have excessive amounts of interest in participating in this play by post.

How would it end
If the truth was re-writable
Break with past
Whatever dreams you long for
I've seen what the future has in mind for me

Rastila, Dar, Henii, and

Rastila, Dar, Henii, and Firie - you can start thinking about characters.  I'll be PMing you each information as to where you can forward any bribes.  I do not accept post-dated cheques in regards to saving throws.  :)

I've already spoken to Drogar.  As he is a veteran, he'll be filling the role that is least represented by the party.

That makes 5, and there are two candidates left.  We're going to try something a little different than a dice off to choose our last member of the party.

Fink and Linu: I want you to both choose an Alignment (Lawful Good, Neutral Evil, etc.)  You need to pick an alignment that hasn't been picked (So first person who posts gets first pick.)  From there, I'll determine a winner.

OooooOooOooo, Mysteriouuuuuuus.

Alignment!

I choose true neutral.

Is this the alignment we'll play if we get in?

Fink: No, this won't be the

Fink: No, this won't be the alignment your character will be when you play (As we have new players, I'm going to have everyone not play evil characters for simplicity's sake).

Instead, this I'm going to introduce the new mechanic built into this system:  The Harrow Deck

Instead of action/hero points, we'll be divining the future with this mysterious deck.  Think of it as the equivalent of a Tarot deck in the world of Golarion.  Each card has a particular alignment attached to it, and you can read more about the nitty gritty of how the Harrow Deck works in the Carrion Crown Player's Guide.  I'll be drawing cards until I draw the alignment that one of you has specified.  Not to worry - there are just as many neutral cards as there are Lawful Evil cards, so you both have a fair shot.

The card I drew was:

The Foreign Trader

The Foreign Trader

The Foreign Trader is the card of spies and peddlers alike, for any who trade information are subject to this card's influence.  The Foreign Trader is a True Neutral card who embodies Intelligence.

Congratulations Finkswitch.  You're the sixth member.  Linu - you will be the first standby.

I kinda wanted a Harrow Deck

I kinda wanted a Harrow Deck for Melu, but they is expensive things. So I went with a typical fortune deck instead to kill some extra cash. :) Nice use of the deck here, Nich!
