*Drops in 2 copper*

I get the feeling that everyone helping up the folks you beat on while "diplomancing" will go a loooong way to improving your reputation, since it seems like that'll be an important mechanic in this campaign. Gives folks something to do description wise and reinforces your words of friendliness and honor. You may beat people if pushed, but you're respectful about it, alla that. Not just cuz.

Also, we could use a Hat post in the RotR thread ;)

You are not Finkswitch!

You are not Finkswitch! Unless you really are, in which case, I am very confused about the last several years.

We are the Finkswitch.

We are the Finkswitch. You will be assimilated. Your biological and Rolplayological distinctiveness will be added to our own. Resistance is irritating.

Wait, the -4 on Lute's attack

Wait, the -4 on Lute's attack was still for non-lethal damage, right?

It was, but it was still with

It was, but it was still with a spear. Lute likely stabbed him in the muscle, no blood veins to cut or tendons to lacerate, the kind of wound that only bleeds superficially and knits quickly. I suspect, oocly, that was the kind of dramatics needed to take the fight out of the rest of the -mob- that was threatening us.

Yeah.  Lute is trained enough

Yeah.  Lute is trained enough with a spear to know what sort of attack is lethal and what's just going to bring someone to their knees.  But a spear attack of any kind is still a little brutal-looking.  It's not quite broadside-of-a-sword whallop material.

Dol - somewhere, someone is watching you roll over that body and shedding a single, meaningful tear.

Dolraan: It was more a matter

Dolraan: It was more a matter of having time to type anything out. I posted that when I should have been working. Oops.

I added Oboe's Diplomacy

I added Oboe's Diplomacy Roll, with the +2 for aid from Orin.

You can consider the people

You can consider the people healing as automatically succeeding in the aid, Oboe.

Ok, then you can just adjust my score by 2 in that case.

*brains some math*Niiice,

*brains some math*

Niiice, two healers giving +2, that gives Oboe a 26. Unless there's some other circumstance modifiers, that's enough to make hostile diplomacy targets improve in attitude! And if they're just unfriendly, we can get two stages :o

If only one of us had

If only one of us had actually rolled decently at the start, we might have been able to avoid kicking the crap out of the townsfolk!

Bah, an adventurer beat down

Bah, an adventurer beat down is how you build character. So we weren't beating them up, we were applying character.

FYI, that encounter is worth

FYI, that encounter is worth 200 experience points each.

The Carrion Crown assumes everyone is using the Medium Advancement Track.

In pathfinder, you no longer spend experience on item creation.  As such, in theory everyone should have the same experience unless you guys do something weird.  As such, I won't be updating the character sheets for every single experience point gain (as I am incredibly lazy.)  I will instead be making notes as to experience gain in here and I will let you know when you level up.

Re: Healing

Guess I should have actually written in that Ban had channel healed everyone after the fight. He muttered a prayer, but I wasn't specific. Oops.

Probably best to have any

Probably best to have any actual spellcasts/class abilities used in parantheses at the bottom of your post, like so:

Banakil utters a healing prayer.

If you do decide to speak or

If you do decide to speak or otherwise honour Professor Lorrimor, you can feel free to make a diplomacy or perform check as part of the speech.

I know in character creation we've all discussed at least some general reasons you knew Petros Lorrimor.  Feel free to make up whatever anecdotes you'd like from past dealings with Lorrimor.

Before we move on, did you

Before we move on, did you all decide you don't want to make diplomacy checks?  You don't have to if you don't want to, but the opportunity goes away with the scene.

Oh, were we supposed to make checks with our final words on the proffessor?

-edit- yes, yes we were. I'll edit one in, what the heck.

I don't remember my exact

I don't remember my exact diplomacy modifier, but I think it was 3, if I messed up please feel free to edit my post for me. I remember banakil and oboe being our talkers with both +7, but I was the next highest.

That six of mine seems

That six of mine seems thematically appropriate, since Orin is a wildman who won't shut up about fighting and hunting.
