Alynore

Saving Sergeant Harrigan: Between a Drake and Hard Place

Lirriel's picture

Alynore didn’t spare much of a glance at the other Dragoons and friends entering Harrigan’s mind through the bridge Vasily created. She didn’t stop this time to look at the ruin of Honor Hold, or the graves stretching to the horizon. She did, however, pause briefly to look over the grizzled, beaten-up old soldier endlessly digging those graves. Before he could “recognize” her again this time, she turned to the portals ringing the immediate area.

They seemed unremarkable by themselves, nothing distinguishing one from another, though Vasily said they would connect to key memories in Harrigan’s life, memories they had to play through and find a “key” to bring back to the broken digger to make him recall who he was and wake back up. Nore let herself be drawn to one of the portals, knowing which memory she wanted to find; it may have been selfish, but it did count. Alynore stepped through the portal, letting the hellish landscape of Hellfire Peninsula dissolve and reform…

Paying Rent

“And that’s the latest,” Rhiswyn said, twirling a lock of brown hair around one finger. “I’ve got plenty more to do, but for now, you should be caught up.”

Alynore grunted a response and signed a form, setting it aside and picking up the next one. Rhiswyn frowned. “Were you even listening, Alynore?”

Consequences

Tenacity

“I’m sorry,” my paladin says again, offering another sand pear. I can’t resist the treat, so I take it from her hand, crunching on the sweet fruit, enjoying the juices and grainy texture. It’s a nice distraction from the pain.

A Cold Meeting

Lirriel's picture

The north peak of Ironforge was cold, snowy, and isolated. Brewfest was miles down the mountain, and the airstrip was another few miles away in the other direction. Alynore flew Tenacity along the mountaintop, until they found a clump of rocks among the sparse trees, a cloaked figure standing by them, sheltered from the wind.

Tenacity landed, but did not dissipate or fly away as Nore dismounted. The charger pawed the ground and snorted, vapor blowing from her armored nose. Nore looked around and headed for the cloaked figure, weapons ready.

Team

Lirriel's picture

((Not based on any specific RP, but inspired a bit by running around Tanaan in a party, and just wanting/needing to write something for Nore lately…))

The stench of the fel forge clung to her as she made her way to the harbor. Ichor stained her armor and dripped from her sword. Sweat-damp strands of red hair had long since escaped from her braid, her goggles keeping it out of her soot-smudged face.

Saving Dolraan - Garrison Chatlog

Lirriel's picture

((As before, the logs of Dolraan's healing RP. What happened in the Spirit World while the physical healers and Switch did their thing? That is up to Rhianon and Dolraan to tell...))

Taking Down the Coven

Lirriel's picture

((Chatlog format again. Mild language warning, Nore gets salty at one point. The assault on the Shadow Council Coven! After capturing the infiltrator in Ft Fordring, it's time to go for his bosses. Fink's probation includes coordinating from mission control, rather than being in the field. Nore, Jonars, and Jia-Lian take some garrison followers and plenty of engineering beacons to a cave in SMV...))

Enduring

Lirriel's picture

I drop onto the bed of my borrowed room, shove my face into the pillow, and scream.

The Argent Infiltrator Chatlog

Lirriel's picture

((Long post, still mostly in chatlog format with some alterations for readability. Unstable gnomes, speechy Nore, Quincy, and some minor language warnings.))

Fink's Next Move

Finkswitch's picture

He wiped the oil from his hands as approached his desk. He let out a long sigh as he climbed into his chair and took up his pen.

Argents and Apples

Alynore rode into Fort Fordring, Tenacity’s wings of Light flaring as they came through the gate. Kunz had the whole company turned out and in formation to wait for her. Everyone stood at attention, gear and Argent Crusade tabards clean, but the expressions on many faces were apprehensive, if not hostile.

She would have much rather avoided any pomp and ceremony, but this did present opportunities. She pushed her goggles just up to her hairline, as if to hold back her fiery hair—but she flicked the “record” switch, the lenses tilting and whirring and the audio crackling faintly as it kicked on.

Garrison Notice

On the notice board at the Silver Dragoon main garrison...

Spilled Coffee

Lirriel's picture

Her fingers wouldn’t curl around the handle of the mug. Her hand jerked as she tried to compensate, and the cup tipped over. The smaller, lighter troop models swept across the representation of Nagrand in a tide of coffee.

The Overlook

Lirriel's picture

Just when I thought Draenor had no other changes. Freaking Botani.

The mages' enraged, pained screams will stick in my head awhile.

Rings

((Ended up as a follow-up to "Tongue Tied" given timing...Takes place pre-Portal rushing))

Nore watched as Daevra finished the engravings on a pair of truegold bands. Normally, the commander would have asked Harrigan—but his injuries were going to keep him from such detail work for some time, and the push through the Portal was coming any day now.
